MEL Officer

WAG Disability Rights is seeking a Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Officer to join our team in Lilongwe, Malawi.

Key Duties

• Design and manage MEL frameworks, tools, and databases for the project
• Lead baseline, midline, and endline evaluations
• Collect, analyze, and report on project data (monthly, quarterly, annually)
• Facilitate learning sessions and document best practices & case studies
• Train staff and partners on data collection and reporting standards
• Ensure compliance with donor requirements and accountability mechanisms

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Statistics, Development Studies, Community Development, Social Work, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an added advantage.
• Minimum 3 years in Monitoring & Evaluation
• Experience with SRHR programs, Gender-Based Violence (GBV) interventions, or disability inclusion projects (strong advantage)
• Experience with donor-funded projects preferred
• Technical skills: Data analysis (Excel, Power BI, etc.), Report writing, Digital data collection tools (KoboToolbox, ODK)
