About the Role

We are looking for an on-site Information Technology Officer for a contract position in Lilongwe. This role is critical for maintaining and managing our IT systems, overseeing network and system operations, resolving technical issues, and providing essential support to ensure seamless workflows. A core responsibility of this position is to ensure our IT infrastructure remains secure, operates efficiently, and stays current with technological advancements.

Key Qualifications and Responsibilities

• Demonstrated expertise in Information Technology, with a thorough understanding of IT infrastructure management.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and provide technical support, effectively resolving hardware and software problems.
• Solid experience in network administration, including optimizing performance and ensuring reliable connectivity.
• Proficiency in system administration, covering server oversight and the implementation of software updates.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the capacity to perform effectively under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to assist and train colleagues as needed.
• Relevant IT, networking, or system administration certifications will be considered advantageous.
• Previous experience managing IT systems within an organizational context is highly beneficial.
