Key Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be entrusted with the following:
- Ensuring safe, efficient, and professional transportation of personnel, products, and project materials.
- Providing support for field activities, training sessions, stakeholder engagements, and operational logistics.
- Maintaining company vehicles in a clean, roadworthy, and well-serviced condition at all times.
- Performing daily vehicle inspections and promptly reporting any faults or maintenance requirements.
- Accurately recording all vehicle logbook entries, fuel consumption, and travel schedules.
- Adhering strictly to road safety regulations and the organization's transport policies.
- Implementing and promoting defensive driving techniques to guarantee the safety of passengers and the vehicle.
- Assisting with deliveries, errands, and other administrative support tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Possession of a Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) is required.
- A valid Malawi Driver’s License, preferably Class C1 or higher, is essential.
- A minimum of three (3) years of proven driving experience.
- A Certificate in Defensive Driving is mandatory.
- Familiarity with routes within Lilongwe and other districts across Malawi.
- A solid understanding of road safety practices and vehicle maintenance.
- Demonstrated honesty, reliability, responsibility, and professionalism.
- Availability to work flexible hours and undertake travel as needed.
