Role Overview
This position is for a Malawi IT Lead within the Finance organizational unit, reporting directly to the Finance Director. The role is based in Limbe and is a permanent position.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage IT service delivery and maintain accountability for adherence to budget, schedule, scope of work, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Communicate the value of IT to the organization and build relationships with key stakeholders, positioning IT as a strategic and value-adding business partner.
- Understand business needs, translate them into IT requirements, and align initiatives with the Group IT strategic roadmap.
- Manage operational relationships with IT service providers (outsourced partners) to ensure efficient and effective IT services across multiple technologies.
- Consult with users, management, vendors, and other stakeholders to assess future IT requirements and ensure alignment with the ABF Sugar Group business strategy.
- Promote and ensure adherence to Illovo's policies, including those related to SHERQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Risk, Quality), Competition Law, and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC).
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive IT leadership experience, ideally within multinational or large-scale organizations.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, Information Security, Systems (applications), and Cloud technologies.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and deliver complex projects.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
