Job Summary:

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to provide comprehensive clinical and administrative support to our healthcare professionals. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient operation of our practice by assisting with patient care, meticulously maintaining medical records, and handling general office duties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Order and interpret common laboratory tests, diagnose conditions, and prescribe treatments within the scope of practice.


• Adhere to rational antibiotic usage guidelines.


• Provide emergency and trauma care, including pre-referral treatment for critically ill patients.


• Monitor and report adverse drug reactions.


• Perform minor surgical and medical procedures.


• Maintain and update patient medical records in compliance with privacy regulations.


• Educate patients on health-related topics and treatment plans.


• Manage the inventory of medical supplies and equipment.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of a Certificate in Clinical Medicine.


• Must be registered with the Medical Council of Malawi.


• A minimum of two years of relevant work experience is required.
