Health Safety and Environmental Officers (HSE)

OVERVIEW

SMEC International was engaged by the Shire Valley Transformation Project (SVTP) for the supervision construction of the shire valley irrigation project in Chikwawa District.

The firm is looking for Health Safety and Environmental Officers (HSE) who must meet the following requirements:-

Qualification and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental/Public Health or equivalent obtained from a reputable training institution with at least three (3) years’ experiences.

OR

A Diploma in Public/Environmental Health from an accredited tertiary institution with at least five (5) years’ experience

Competence Profile

Community mobilization skills
Ability to establish, and maintain effective working relationship
Problem solving and analytical skills
Knowledge in the field of HSE compliance and auditing
Prior experience working in a World Bank or African Development Bank funded projects will be an added advantage
