Claims Administrator

About the Role

Old Mutual is seeking a dedicated Claims Administrator to join our team. This role involves performing essential clerical duties, managing basic financial transactions, and ensuring the efficient processing of pension claims. You will play a crucial part in upholding our commitment to delivering excellent customer experiences and championing mutually positive futures.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, review, assess, and calculate pension claims in accordance with established requirements.
• Analyze claim documentation for completeness and accuracy prior to processing payments.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and customers to provide updates on claim statuses and necessary requirements.
• Ensure all claims processing adheres strictly to internal policies, regulatory mandates, and industry best practices.
• Assess potential risks within the claims processing function, implement mitigation strategies for financial and reputational risks, and facilitate the early detection of fraudulent or high-risk claims.
• Prepare and maintain accurate claim records and reports for management review.
• Recommend and implement improvements to claims procedures to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance or Economics.
• Proficiency in skills such as Action Planning, Client Management, Computer Literacy, Database Administration, Desktop Publishing (DTP), Executing Plans, Management Reporting, Network Administration, Numerical Aptitude, Office Systems, Oral Communications, Policies & Procedures, Report Review, and Resource Scheduling.
• Demonstrated competencies in Collaboration, Effective Communication, Driving Results, Ensuring Accountability, and Planning & Aligning.
• Tech-savvy with a strong understanding of relevant systems.
