The Opportunity
Plan International seeks an experienced and highly motivated Deployable Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Gender in Emergencies Specialist to join its global Core Surge Team. This role involves rapid deployment to humanitarian crises worldwide, typically within 72 hours, to provide technical leadership and ensure that gender equality, inclusion, and protection from GBV are integral to all emergency responses.
The successful candidate will operate at the forefront of crisis response, supporting country teams in delivering high-quality, gender-transformative programs that effectively address the needs of girls, young people, and vulnerable populations.

Location: This position offers flexible location options within countries where Plan International has an established office capable of employing staff on behalf of the Global Hub, provided the candidate possesses the pre-existing right to work and reside in that location. This is not an expatriate position.

Up to 75% travel is expected, involving deployments to country or regional offices for emergency response for periods up to 3 months at a time.
Employment Type: Permanent or maximum fixed-term contract, in accordance with the employing office's standard terms and conditions.

Reporting Line: Reports to the Gender-Based Violence and Gender in Emergencies Technical Lead (Global Hub).
