The Utility Cleaner plays a critical role in supporting various hotel functions by providing assistance across multiple departments, including the kitchen, food and beverage outlets, and laundry. Responsibilities involve preparing linens and tableware for guest use, operating and maintaining cleaning equipment and tools (such as dishwashers, sinks, washers, and dryers), and transporting linens and tableware throughout the hotel. These associates perform essential tasks to ensure a smooth operation and high standards.

Regardless of the specific role, fundamental responsibilities include maintaining a safe work environment, adhering to company policies and procedures, upholding quality standards, and ensuring professional presentation of uniform, personal appearance, and communication. Key duties involve meeting quality expectations and standards, cultivating positive working relationships with colleagues and departments, and supporting team goals. Effective listening and responsive communication are essential when addressing concerns from other employees. Associates are required to report any accidents, damages, or hazardous conditions to their manager. The role requires physical stamina, including the ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods, as well as the capacity to bend, squat, twist, reach, and stoop. This position may also involve moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, and placing objects weighing less than 50 pounds without assistance. Additional reasonable tasks may be assigned by supervisors.
