Nyanthepa is a community radio station based in Nsanje. Nyanthepa envisions a developed society with citizens who are productively contributing to the development of Nsanje District.

Nyanthepa is looking for a self-motivated, interactive, innovative, and enthusiastic person to fill the position of Reporter.

Key Duties

• Identify and research news stories.
• Write news stories for radio and online platforms.
• Present news stories on air.
• Conduct interviews.
• Cover live radio events.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Journalism from any recognized institution.
• Proven experience in news editing, including familiarity with radio broadcasting standards.
• Well conversant with Chisena, English, and Chichewa languages.
• Ability to present news in Chisena, Chichewa, and English.
• Strong ability to write clear news stories for radio and online platforms.
• Ability to conduct thorough interviews with sources.
• Strong understanding of sports rules, terminology, and current events.
• Familiarity with audio recording equipment and editing software.
• Ability to critically scrutinize and analyze facts and opinions.
• Ability to work under tight schedules.
• Ability to work in a team.
