About the Role

The Education Specialist will provide essential technical support and capacity building to the Ministry of Education at district, Zonal, and school levels. This role is crucial for the successful implementation of the BeFIT program, focusing on training and mentoring education personnel. The Specialist will be responsible for equipping District Education Officers, Primary Education Advisors (PEAs), teachers, and School Managers with the skills to effectively integrate tablet-based learning into their teaching practices and school management systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise and support for the BeFIT program.
• Deliver training and capacity building initiatives to Ministry of Education staff and school personnel.
• Support the integration of tablet-based learning tools into educational settings.
• Mentor teachers and school managers on new pedagogical approaches and technology use.
• Foster effective implementation of educational strategies at various levels of the education system.

Requirements

• Proven experience in training and mentoring primary school teachers, including both in-service and student teachers.
• A minimum of 2 years of motorcycle riding experience.
• A valid motorcycle rider's license obtained within the last two years.
• Demonstrated ability to be open-minded and respectful.
• Capacity to be resilient and adaptable to new situations.
• Ability to facilitate positive change and build sustainable working relationships.
• A commitment to seeking and sharing knowledge.
