Established in 1971 as a Statutory Corporation under Chapter 67.03 of Malawi Law, ADMARC Limited underwent repeal and was subsequently incorporated as a Limited Liability Company under the Companies Act in 2003. As a non-subvented Statutory Corporation with the government as its majority shareholder, ADMARC Limited's Board of Directors has initiated a corporate restructuring. New organizational structures and skill sets have been approved to drive ADMARC forward, leading to the retrenchment of all existing employees. ADMARC Limited, a key player in Agricultural Marketing, is now seeking suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the following positions:


LEGAL SERVICES OFFICER

Purpose of the Job


To provide essential legal support and advisory services to the Company.


Key Duties and Responsibilities



  1. Assist in taking minutes for the Board of Directors and its sub-committees as delegated.

  2. Conduct litigation initiated by or against the Company before the appropriate courts, in close coordination with the relevant departments.

  3. Provide legal support for drafting and reviewing agreements, Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), and contracts for the Company as required.

  4. Offer legal advice and opinions on legal matters impacting the Company.

  5. Proactively resolve legal issues and propose solutions to prevent litigation.

  6. Guide the Company in interpreting laws applicable to all aspects of its operations.

  7. Assist in establishing systems to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.

  8. Evaluate the impact of evolving legal and statutory regulations on the Company’s operations, highlighting these impacts and contributing to business planning.

  9. Liaise with relevant parties on behalf of the Company to manage litigation, obtain legal advice, and secure legal services.

  10. Produce periodic reports on legal matters.
