Terms of Reference: Multimedia Consultant
Background:
VillageReach, as an implementing partner for the CHOICE Project (2025-2028) funded by Global Affairs Canada (GAC) and Oxfam Canada, requires on-call multimedia production services. This role supports the Digital Innovation component by creating Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) communication assets for various channels, including Facebook, WhatsApp, the Youth Choice App, IVR, and community audio. VillageReach will supply all scripts and content; the consultant will be responsible for production aspects such as design, animation, voice recording, audio editing, and translation.
Scope of Work (On-Call Services):
The consultant will produce requested asset types based on task orders issued via email by VillageReach. Each task order will specify the asset type, quantity, languages, style (narrative or dramatized for audio), deadline, and any special instructions. The consultant will confirm acceptance and provide a fixed price based on the unit rates detailed below. Two rounds of revisions are included per task order, with a typical turnaround time of 3-10 days, depending on complexity.
Asset Types:
- Digital Posters: Static visuals for social media/print, produced in English, Chichewa, and Yao (three language versions per poster). Input: provided script/text. Output: high-res PNG, JPEG, and editable source files (AI/PSD/Canva).
- Short Animations: Motion graphics, 30-45 seconds, with English voiceover and Chichewa/Yao subtitles. Input: provided script/storyboard. Output: MP4 (1080p) and source files.
- IVR Audio Prompts: For interactive voice response systems, ranging from 10 seconds to 3 minutes. Available in narrative (professional, factual) or dramatized (role-play, conversational, story-based) styles. Output: MP3, 128kbps, mono, in English, Chichewa, and Yao.
- Audio Lessons: For health worker or community education, 3-5 minutes each. Available in narrative or dramatized styles. Output: MP3, 128kbps, mono, with metadata, in English and Chichewa (Yao optional).
- Translation Services: Script translation from English to Chichewa and/or Yao (and occasionally reverse). Translations must be contextually appropriate and accurate for Malawian SRHR terminology.
Compensation and Payment:
All costs, including voice talent, studio time, editing, and software, are to be included in the provided unit rates unless otherwise agreed.

Requirements for Application:
Interested individual consultants must submit:
