Cleaning Operations Supervisor

Outple is currently recruiting for a full-time Cleaning Operations Supervisor in Malawi, on behalf of Spark Klean. Spark Klean is establishing a premier cleaning and staffing service for residences, offices, and commercial entities. The selected candidate will be instrumental in identifying, evaluating, training, and managing dependable cleaning and service personnel.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and recruit qualified cleaners and other service professionals.


• Cultivate relationships with reliable recruitment channels and local communities.


• Conduct interviews and assess candidates' demeanor, experience, and practical capabilities.


• Verify identification, addresses, employment history, and references.


• Oversee appropriate background checks and maintain meticulous worker records.


• Develop and implement practical onboarding and cleaning training programs.


• Assign staff to suitable roles and manage schedules and replacements.


• Monitor employee attendance, conduct, and service quality.


• Address staff and client issues promptly and professionally.


• Contribute to the development of effective recruitment, training, and operational procedures.


• Provide support for commercial quotations and tender submissions as needed.

Essential Requirements

• A minimum of four years of experience in commercial cleaning, housekeeping, security, facilities management, or a similar staffing-dependent service industry.


• Practical experience in recruiting, training, and supervising frontline employees.


• Solid understanding of local recruitment avenues and community networks.


• Experience in managing attendance, performance, and disciplinary matters.


• Exceptional organizational, judgment, and problem-solving skills.


• Confident communication abilities in both English and Chichewa.


• Proficiency in using WhatsApp, email, and basic spreadsheet software.


• Demonstrated high integrity, supported by verifiable references.

A significant advantage would be: Experience with commercial cleaning contracts, quotations, or tenders.
