SENIOR MANAGEMENT POSITIONS

A. Introduction

The Tobacco Commission (TC) is a statutory body responsible for regulating, supervising, and promoting the Malawian tobacco industry, a sector vital to the nation's economy as its largest export earner. In pursuit of enhanced operational efficiency, robust regulatory oversight, and improved service delivery across the tobacco value chain, the Commission is filling two key directorships. These positions, Director of Technical Services and Director of Human Resources and Administration, are open due to retirement and internal advancement.

These appointments are crucial for leadership continuity, effective mandate execution, and alignment with evolving industry dynamics and government parastatal reforms. The TC seeks highly motivated, experienced, and results-oriented professionals committed to driving efficiency, innovation, and good corporate governance. Applications are invited from dynamic individuals of high integrity to fill the following senior management positions at the Tobacco Commission Headquarters:

DIRECTOR OF TECHNICAL SERVICES – GRADE TC 2

DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES AND ADMINISTRATION – GRADE TC 2

Both roles report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and offer a competitive, negotiable performance-related contract of three (3) years, including attractive salary and gratuity benefits commensurate with the seniority and candidate qualifications.

Job Function:

To ensure the effective and efficient management of the Commission’s technical and operational functions, providing leadership for the Department of Technical Services.
