The Saint Columba CCAP Congregation

St Columba CCAP is a Christ centered Church in Blantyre Synod with a population of about 4,000 congregants located in Njamba near Njamba Freedom Park in Blantyre. The Church is looking for suitable person with relevant education background, experience and interpersonal skills to fill the following position in the Church.

 

ARTISAN

Reporting to the Human Resource & Administrative Officer

 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance and repairs of church property, including carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work, and conduct routine inspections to prevent breakdowns.
• Maintain and safeguard tools, equipment, and materials, ensuring proper use, proper storage, and timely reporting of faults or shortages.
• Follow safety procedures at all times and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free working environment.
• Provide timely technical support during church services and special events, responding quickly to maintenance needs.

 

Qualifications

• Level 3 TEVET Certificate, Grade 1 Trade Test in a related field or Advanced Craft Malawi Certificate, MSCE with at least 3 years’ practical experience, good problem-solving skills, and high integrity.
