Position: Advocacy and Communications Officer
Location: Lilongwe
Programme: MAP Programme

Girls Not Brides Malawi is seeking a highly experienced Senior Advocacy and Communications Officer to spearhead strategic advocacy initiatives, stakeholder engagement, and communications efforts for the Malawi Accelerator Programme (MAP). This pivotal role is crucial for influencing policy, strengthening national advocacy movements, and advancing the agenda to end child marriage in Malawi.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement advocacy strategies for policy influence.


• Engage in budget advocacy and resource mobilization efforts.


• Foster stakeholder engagement and build strategic partnerships.


• Manage media, digital, and public communications campaigns.


• Develop strategies for amplifying girls' and youth voices.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• Master’s degree, or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.


• Over 7 years of professional experience in advocacy, communications, or campaigning.


• Proven track record in policy influence and stakeholder engagement.


• Demonstrated expertise in media, digital communication strategies, and implementation.
