- Reports To: Nurse/Midwife Technician
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise ward dusting, including the nurses' station.
- Oversee the collection and delivery of prescribed medications from the pharmacy.
- Manage the transport of blood and other samples to the laboratory and ensure their timely retrieval.
- Supervise waste disposal procedures, including the incineration of required materials.
- Ensure high standards of ward cleanliness through effective mopping and maintenance.
- Coordinate the escorting of referred patients to appropriate referral units.
- Monitor the accuracy of vital signs recorded by Hospital Attendants.
- Contribute to direct patient care as required.
- Supervise the bathing, feeding, and dressing of patients without guardians.
- Oversee the safe transfer of patients using wheelchairs or stretchers.
- Address patient complaints and promptly report concerning conditions to nurses.
- Supervise and assist with patient rehabilitation activities.
- Accurately record data in relevant HMIS registers and instruments as directed.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- MSCE or equivalent.
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience at Grade P.
