The Law Commission invites applications for the position of Principal Planning Officer (LC6). Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning activities of the Commission. The Law Commission is an equal opportunity employer.

Key Duties

• Supervise and coordinate planning, monitoring, and evaluation activities within the Commission.
• Coordinate and prepare the Commission’s Annual Budgets and plans.
• Design strategic plans to guide long- and medium-term strategies.
• Analyze and recommend long- and medium-term development strategies.
• Coordinate the implementation of the strategic plan.
• Review development policies and align them with economic policy and programs.
• Conduct strategic policy analysis.
• Interpret national development policies for the Commission.
• Prepare work plans for the Unit.
• Compile reports of technical discussions, meetings, and the Commission’s work and progress reports.
• Mobilize resources for the Commission's activities.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Economics or Monitoring and Evaluation.
• At least 4 years of relevant working experience.
• A Master’s Degree in Economics will be considered an added advantage.
