Head of Marketing
Old Mutual is seeking a dynamic Head of Marketing to lead and execute the organization's marketing, brand, communications, and customer engagement strategies. This role is instrumental in enhancing brand visibility, driving business expansion, fostering customer loyalty, and ensuring the successful implementation of marketing campaigns and stakeholder communication efforts.
The Head of Marketing will provide functional leadership to the marketing team, collaborating closely with business units to deliver integrated marketing solutions that elevate customer value, improve commercial performance, and strengthen brand positioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Marketing Strategy Execution: Support the implementation of the organization’s marketing and brand strategy, aligning with business priorities and customer needs. Translate strategic objectives into actionable marketing plans, campaigns, and initiatives to boost awareness, customer acquisition, retention, and engagement.
- Brand Management: Safeguard the organization’s brand identity and ensure its consistent application across all communication channels, campaigns, and customer touchpoints. Contribute to the continuous enhancement of brand positioning and market presence.
- Marketing Campaign Management: Plan, coordinate, and oversee marketing campaigns across traditional and digital platforms, ensuring effective execution, measurable impact, and efficient use of resources. Manage relationships with agencies, media partners, and suppliers according to agreed service levels and budgets.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Communications: Support internal and external communication initiatives to strengthen stakeholder engagement and brand reputation. Partner with business units and support functions to ensure cohesive and impactful messaging.
- Market Intelligence & Insights: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, customer insights, and emerging opportunities to inform marketing decisions and growth initiatives. Provide marketing insights and recommendations to management.
- Digital Marketing & Customer Engagement: Aid in the development of digital marketing capabilities and customer engagement initiatives across digital platforms. Drive customer-centric marketing efforts to improve customer experience and engagement.
- Internal Marketing & Employee Engagement: Lead internal marketing and employee engagement initiatives to reinforce organizational culture, employee alignment, and brand advocacy. Develop and coordinate internal communication campaigns that support strategic priorities, organizational change, employee experience, and corporate culture. Collaborate with Human Capital and business leaders to ensure consistent internal messaging and alignment between employee and customer brand experiences.
- Marketing Performance & Reporting: Track and evaluate marketing performance using established metrics and reporting tools. Provide regular analysis of campaign performance and propose optimizations for effectiveness and return on investment.
- Budget Management: Manage and monitor the marketing budget to ensure efficient resource utilization and alignment with business priorities.
- Leadership & Team Management: Lead, coach, and develop the marketing team to foster high performance, collaboration, and capability development. Cultivate a customer-centric, performance-driven, and innovative culture within the function.
