Key Responsibilities

• Drive and oversee service performance to surpass customer expectations and distinguish DHL from competitors.
• Engage with critical and strategic customers to foster retention, cultivate existing business, and generate new growth.
• Cultivate and sustain a positive DHL brand image with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, industry groups, trade unions, and regulatory bodies, to support business expansion.
• Oversee the achievement of the annual business plan, including targets for revenue, cash flow, profit, and service levels, implementing corrective actions for any negative deviations.
• Formulate local tactical plans, ensuring alignment with regional and global strategic frameworks and market approaches.
• Provide robust leadership to effectively communicate and execute agreed-upon strategies and objectives.
• Contribute to regional strategic planning, incorporating local market dynamics into policy and strategy development.
• Drive revenue yield enhancement and expand market share.
• Proactively monitor market trends and competitor strategies.
• Continuously evaluate and refine business processes to boost productivity and enhance the value of DHL services.
• Safeguard the company's financial health, adhering to legal, statutory, and DHL management standards.
• Enhance liquidity through effective capital and debtor management.
• Develop and execute improvement plans for service and transit time performance while effectively managing costs.
• Define the country's organizational structure, outlining roles, responsibilities, and performance objectives.
• Allocate resources and personnel effectively to achieve global, regional cluster, and country-specific goals.

Qualifications and Experience

• A university degree complemented by relevant commercial or business qualifications.
• Substantial senior or general management experience within the express, logistics, or aviation sectors, or comparable service-oriented industries.
• Comprehensive understanding of all business functions and proven experience managing a full Profit and Loss (P&L) entity of a similar scale.
• Strong business acumen and a deep comprehension of the external economic landscape, including its potential impact on DHL’s short-term and long-term strategic planning.
• Demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities and a track record of motivating teams, embodying DHL's leadership attributes.
• Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential.
