Castel Malawi Limited is seeking a dedicated Nurse to collaborate closely with the Clinical Technician. This role involves managing the daily operations of the clinic and delivering essential primary healthcare services to staff members.
Key Duties
- Provide first aid and emergency treatment for workplace injuries and illnesses.
- Administer medication and treatments in accordance with defined scope.
- Participate in scheduled workplace safety talks.
- Manage minor ailments and facilitate referrals to the Clinical Technician when necessary.
- Serve as the primary contact for Anti-Retroviral services within the clinic.
- Maintain and update clinic inventory sheets for various drugs.
- Ensure the Clinic Health Register Book is accurately updated with relevant information for all visiting staff.
- Assist with medical examinations for food handlers in coordination with the Clinical Technician and Safety Team.
- Ensure the clinic maintains high standards of cleanliness and proper waste management as per operational procedures.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within a busy industrial or medical environment.
- Must be registered with the relevant professional institution.
Key Competencies:
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to perform basic medical assessments (e.g., vital signs, first aid, triage).
- Knowledge of medical emergency protocols and drills.
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate drug records.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
