VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
OFFICE ASSISTANT
Yathu SACCO is seeking applications from suitably qualified and motivated individuals for the position of Office Assistant at our Lilongwe office.
Duties and Responsibilities
- File office documents accurately and in chronological order.
- Collect and deliver mail and documents between offices for signing.
- Prepare requisitions for office supplies and assist in procurement.
- Maintain office cleanliness and ensure proper storage of office items.
- Assist members with form completion and provide necessary guidance.
- Respond professionally to inquiries from members and visitors, directing them appropriately.
- Prepare and serve refreshments to staff.
- Perform computer data entry and capture tasks.
- Update deposit, share, and loan records in ledgers and passbooks.
- Maintain the staff time log, ensuring all employees record their attendance.
- Ensure the secure custody of office files and utensils.
- Assist in preparing documentation for death claims.
- Undertake any other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE).
- Basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated honesty, hard work, and trustworthiness.
