Tradeline Corporation Limited (TLC) is currently implementing the GROW Project, an initiative designed to expand economic prospects for youth and women across Malawi.
This project aims to bolster agricultural markets by enhancing connectivity between farmers, aggregators, and processors. It also addresses prevalent challenges such as inadequate coordination, supply chain deficiencies, and restricted market access.
Employing a Market Systems Development approach, GROW advocates for structured market linkages, inclusive sourcing practices, and streamlined aggregation systems.
To ensure effective on-the-ground implementation, TLC is deploying Market Facilitation Officers (MFOs) who will be crucial in connecting farmers with reliable market channels.
• Facilitate connections between farmers, aggregators, and processors.
• Align agricultural production with prevailing market demand.
• Strengthen aggregation processes and structured trading systems.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and compliance regulations.
• Monitor and report on project impact, including volumes, job creation, and income generation.
Applicants should possess a Certificate or Diploma in Agribusiness, Rural Development, Agricultural Extension, Business Administration, or a closely related field. A minimum of 3 years' professional experience within agricultural markets, value chains, and engagement with Farmer Organizations and SMEs is essential.
Candidates must demonstrate strong facilitation and negotiation capabilities, the ability to effectively coordinate diverse market actors, a comprehensive understanding of aggregation and trading systems, proficient data reporting skills, and uncompromised integrity.
