The successful candidate will support kitchen operations and contribute to the preparation and presentation of high-quality meals.

Key Requirements

• Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or equivalent.
• A Certificate in Food Production, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in a professional kitchen.
• Knowledge of food preparation, menu execution, and food safety practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present meals according to approved recipes and resort standards.
• Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation.
• Ensure timely preparation of food orders.
• Assist in controlling food costs and minimising wastage.
• Prepare kitchen stations before service.
• Monitor food inventory and report shortages.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene.
• Follow food safety, food handling, and sanitation requirements.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and report faults.
• Assist with menu preparation, special events, and catering functions.
• Support the training of junior kitchen staff.
