Connect Outsourcing is seeking an experienced and results-driven Plant Manager (General Manager – Manufacturing) to provide strategic and operational leadership for a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Malawi. This is a senior leadership opportunity for a pharmaceutical manufacturing professional with proven experience in plant operations, production management, quality systems and GMP compliance.

Role Overview

The Plant Manager will oversee the daily operations of the pharmaceutical manufacturing facility, including Production, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Engineering and Warehousing. The successful candidate will be responsible for maximizing operational efficiency and productivity while maintaining GMP standards and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key Requirements

• Must be a Registered Pharmacist
• Master's degree in a Scientific or Industrial Engineering field
• Minimum 3+ years of pharmaceutical manufacturing industry experience in senior management
• Relevant experience as a Plant Manager, in Quality Assurance or as a Production Pharmacist
• Experience with cGMPs and GGP
• Knowledge of ISO 9000 and occupational health and safety requirements
• Experience with manufacturing and process automation
• Strong leadership, planning, organization and problem-solving skills
• Advanced knowledge of pharmaceutical quality systems and regulatory requirements
• Strong computer and IT skills
• Advanced MS Office skills
• Experience with ERP systems such as Sage or SAP
• Ability to prepare and present operational reports

Selection Process
