Kingdom Holdings Entrepreneur Accelerator Program 2026

The Kingdom Holdings Entrepreneur Accelerator Program 2026 is an investment initiative implemented by SME Clinic Malawi on behalf of Kingdom Holdings Group Ltd, designed to support high-growth, post-revenue Malawian SMEs that are ready to scale. The program targets founders who have successfully moved beyond the startup phase and now require aligned, patient capital to expand sustainably.

Investment Model

The program deploys Revenue-Based Redeemable Equity, an alternative to traditional equity financing. Kingdom Holdings invests between US$10,000 and US$100,000 in qualifying businesses in exchange for redeemable shares. Rather than forcing an exit through sale or listing, investees repay the investment using a small, agreed percentage of future gross revenues. Repayments stop once a pre-agreed multiple is reached, after which Kingdom Holdings fully exits and the entrepreneur retains 100% ownership of the business. This structure ensures alignment between investor and entrepreneur and supports long-term business sustainability.

Priority Sectors

Applications are invited from post-revenue SMEs operating in the following sectors:

• Agribusiness and Agro-processing
• Agritech and Climate-Smart Agriculture
• Renewable and Productive-Use Energy Solutions
• Manufacturing and Import Substitution (including FMCGs)
• Fintech and Digital Financial Services
• ICT and Digital Infrastructure
• Education and EdTech
• HealthTech and Digital Health Solutions
• Scalable Professional and Logistics Services

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Registered private limited company or partnership in Malawi
• Minimum of two years of trading history
• Demonstrated, consistent revenues for at least 12 months
• A committed full-time management team
• Clear potential for scalability and embedded socio-economic impact
• Willingness to undergo financial and governance due diligence

Women-led and youth-led enterprises are strongly encouraged to apply.

Value Beyond Capital

In addition to funding, selected businesses receive hands-on strategic and governance support from SME Clinic and Kingdom Holdings through an appointed advisory team. This support strengthens management, financial discipline, and growth execution.

Application Process and Timeline

Applicants are required to complete an online application and submit a 3 minute video that explains the business, a short founder motivation (“Why”) statement, team breakdown showing roles and time commitment, Revenue figures for the last 12 months
