About Us

Lumina Creative Labs, a global remote digital agency, partners with both international and Malawian clients on diverse projects. Our work, exemplified by platforms like Malawistock.com, showcases authentic African narratives through compelling imagery on a worldwide stage.

We are embarking on an exciting new initiative and seek a freelance Technical Editor to expertly refine technical material into accessible and captivating articles for a broad readership. Work will be allocated based on demand, with payment provided for each successfully completed piece.

What We’re Looking For

• Professionals with an engineering academic foundation and/or prior engineering experience who have successfully transitioned into journalism or technical content creation roles.
• Graduates holding a Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated expertise in technical editing, meticulous proofreading, or comprehensive content refinement, evidenced by a strong portfolio of clear, accurate, and well-organized content.

What You Will Do

• Enhance articles for superior clarity, cohesive flow, and reader accessibility.
• Rectify grammatical errors, spelling inaccuracies, and structural issues in sentences.
• Transform technical content to be more engaging, easily digestible, and tailored for a general audience.
• Maintain a consistent voice and stylistic standard across all published articles.
• Deliver polished, publication-ready content.

What You Need

• Prior professional experience in editing, proofreading, content writing, or a comparable position.
• Exceptional command of written English coupled with a keen eye for detail.
• The capacity to comprehend and effectively refine structured or technical subject matter.
• A high degree of self-discipline and the proven ability to manage deadlines autonomously.

This role is entirely remote, offering assignment-based tasks. There are no set working hours, providing the flexibility to integrate this opportunity with your current professional or academic pursuits.
