Job Purpose: Lead - BSS
The Lead - BSS is responsible for overseeing network operations and maintenance within their assigned region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain Radio Network availability at 99.8%.
- Govern partner performance to achieve targets.
- Manage regional operations activities.
- Analyze Radio Network Availability (RNA) reports and develop regional action plans.
- Resolve the top worst-performing sites on a weekly basis.
- Ensure quality of service (QoS) for Network Infrastructure (RAN and Transmission).
- Manage BSS Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), with a focus on Platinum & Gold standards.
- Conduct site audits for both Active and Passive infrastructure.
- Ensure network availability exceeds 99.8%.
- Manage spare parts inventory effectively.
- Align with business objectives through War Room meetings, CSD meetings, and customer complaint resolution.
- Conduct weekly War Room meetings with partners and customers.
- Resolve customer complaints within 48 hours in cities and 96 hours in rural areas.
- Promote process awareness and partner governance.
- Ensure compliance with checklists and quality guidelines as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain accurate databases for Radio & Transmission networks.
- Ensure accuracy of Radio and Transmission inventory.
- Implement Network Management System (NMS) visibility.
- Manage external alarms extension and audits.
- Engage and lead the direct reports and collaborate with other teams, including partners
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Telecommunications Engineering.
- Proficiency in computer skills, particularly MS Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in the telecommunications sector.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships.
- Capacity to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- Self-motivated and proactive.
- Excellent teamwork skills.
