2. Position Purpose
The Safety Officer is responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe and healthy working environment across all construction and operational sites. 4. Key Duties and Responsibilities
4.1 Occupational Health and Safety Management

- Ensure proper use, availability, and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Monitor site activities to ensure adherence to safe work practices and construction safety standards.
4.2 Training and Safety Awareness
- Conduct safety inductions for new employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Facilitate regular toolbox talks and refresher safety training sessions.
- Promote a positive safety culture and safe behavior among employees.
4.3 Incident Management and Reporting
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare and submit safety reports, accident investigation reports, and inspection records.

4.4 Compliance, Audits and Monitoring
- Ensure compliance with national occupational health and safety regulations and construction safety requirements.

- Minimum of 2–3 years’ relevant work experience in Occupational Health and Safety within construction, engineering, petroleum, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
- Proven hands-on experience in site-based safety management, including:

2. Position Purpose
The Electrical Technician – Petroleum is responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems associated with fuel pumps, dispensers, storage tanks, control panels, and related petroleum infrastructure. 4. Key Duties and Responsibilities
4.1 Installation & Commissioning
- Install and wire fuel dispensers, pump motors, control panels, and associated electrical systems.
- Conduct electrical connections for underground and above-ground tank systems.
- Install and configure tank gauging systems, sensors, and monitoring equipment.
- Perform electrical testing and commissioning of pumps and dispensing systems.
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, schematics, and electrical codes.
4.2 Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults in fuel pumps, motors, control panels, and monitoring systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on electrical components of petroleum infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot issues related to power supply, wiring faults, circuit breakers, relays, and automation systems.
- Inspect earthing and bonding systems to ensure electrical safety compliance.
- Support calibration and optimization of pump performance and tank monitoring systems.
4.3 Tank & Pump Electrical Systems
- Test and verify pump motor performance and electrical load requirements.

4. Key Duties and Responsibilities
4.1 Installation & Commissioning

2. Position Purpose
The Light Cargo Vehicle Driver is responsible for safely operating company vehicles to transport personnel, tools, materials, and equipment to and from project sites. The role ensures vehicles are maintained in good condition, operated responsibly, and driven in compliance with road safety and organizational standards.

4. Key Duties and Responsibilities
4.1 Vehicle Operation
- Safely drive company light cargo vehicles (pickup trucks, vans, and staff cars).
- Transport personnel, equipment, and materials to project sites on schedule.
- Plan routes efficiently to avoid delays and minimize travel risks.
- Ensure safe loading and unloading of materials.
- Assist in minor vehicle-related tasks during project operations, such as moving light equipment.
4.2 Vehicle Inspection & Maintenance
- Conduct pre-trip inspections, including brakes, lights, tyres, fuel, and engine oil.
- Report mechanical faults or damages immediately.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of vehicles.
- Record mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance logs accurately.
- Coordinate with the workshop for scheduled maintenance or servicing.
4.3 Safety & Compliance
- Comply with all traffic laws and road safety regulations.
- Drive cautiously around active project sites, especially near fuel tanks and machinery.
- Use seatbelts and ensure all passengers adhere to safety protocols.
- Avoid overloading or misusing company vehicles.
- Immediately report any accidents, near misses, or unsafe conditions.
4.4 Site Coordination
- Coordinate with site teams to ensure timely pick-up and drop-off of personnel and materials.
- Support operations by assisting with minor site tasks when required (e.g., guiding vehicles, assisting in deliveries).
- Minimize disruption to ongoing fuel station or construction operations.
4.5 Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily vehicle logbooks, including mileage, fuel usage, and destinations.
- Report vehicle-related incidents or breakdowns promptly.
- Assist in vehicle handover documentation between shifts.
5. Qualifications & Experience
5.1 Minimum Requirements
- MSCE (Malawi School Certificate of Education) or equivalent.
- Valid Malawi Driver’s License for Vehicles (Class C1 or equivalent).
- Defensive driving or professional driving training is an added advantage.
5.2 Experience
- Minimum 5 – 8 years’ experience driving 5 tons vehicles in a professional or construction environment.
- Experience in transporting personnel and materials to active project sites is preferred.
- Familiarity with Malawi road networks and project site protocols is an advantage.
