Key Duties
- Support the management of financial records and transactions, ensuring accurate documentation of daily operations in line with organizational policies.
- Review and process all invoices from Procurement/Operations and Human Resources, ensuring all necessary supporting documents are attached and compliant with donor requirements.
- Prepare Payment Voucher Requests (PRFs) and process all payments through Electronic Financial Transactions (EFT).
- Maintain and manage petty cash logs, reconciliations, and replenishments.
- Enter all payment transactions into QuickBooks and other accounting systems daily.
- Maintain a complete filing system for electronic and paper-based financial records.
- Prepare mid-month and monthly petty cash and bank reconciliations to monitor fund movements.
- Prepare donor VAT reports with required supporting documentation.
- Fill in and track withholding taxes and other taxes in the MRA portal.
- Send proof of payments and payroll withholding breakdowns to relevant institutions.
- Provide support to the HR department and technical staff as needed to facilitate target achievement.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of extensive experience in Accounting or Finance.
- Hold a Diploma in Accounting or Finance, or a professional qualification (ACCA or CIMA).
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders, including local partners, government officials, donor representatives, and communities.
- Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal, for effective communication in an international context.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
