Control Center Shift Controller
Role Overview
Shift-based operators monitoring GPS screens, tracking vehicle movements, analysing fuel data, and logging incidents around the clock. Four controllers provide 24-hour coverage in 12-hour shifts. They monitor every vehicle in the Group fleet, flag deviations from planned routes, identify fuel consumption anomalies, and maintain a real-time incident log.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor GPS tracking screens for all Group vehicles during shift
- Flag route deviations, unauthorised stops, and after-hours vehicle movement
- Fuel consumption monitoring: compare GPS-calculated usage to actual fills
- Incident logging: breakdowns, security events, speeding, geofence breaches
- Communication with drivers and site managers as needed
- Shift handover: comprehensive status briefing to incoming controller
- Support investigations by pulling historical GPS data and route analysis
Candidate Profile
- IT literate: comfortable with multiple monitoring screens and software
- Attention to detail and pattern recognition
- Reliable and discreet — handles sensitive information
- Available for 12-hour rotating shifts (day and night)
- Good written communication for incident documentation
- Prior control room or monitoring experience preferred
