Business Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Developer with experience in solar and energy solutions to drive market expansion in Malawi. The successful candidate will identify new business opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and promote Ecoflow’s range of solar and energy products to residential, commercial, and institutional clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive sales and market penetration of Ecoflow solar products, including portable power stations, solar panels, and energy storage systems
• Identify and develop new business opportunities within residential, commercial, NGO, and government sectors
• Conduct site visits and needs assessments to recommend suitable solar and energy solutions
• Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, installers, and key stakeholders
• Develop strategic partnerships with organizations requiring reliable off-grid or backup power solutions
• Prepare proposals, quotations, and technical presentations tailored to client needs
• Negotiate contracts and close sales deals to achieve revenue targets
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments in the renewable energy sector
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure proper installation and after-sales support

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field
• Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in business development or sales
• Mandatory experience working with a mobile phone brand, solar/renewable energy company, or home electrical appliances company
• Strong understanding of solar power systems, energy storage, and off-grid solutions
• Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Strong knowledge of the Malawian market and regulatory environment
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple client engagements
