About the Role


We are seeking a skilled individual to fill a combined videographer and video editor position. This role will be instrumental in producing professional-quality videos for One Acre Fund's training programs, marketing initiatives, fundraising campaigns, and overall brand building. The core focus will be on showcasing the tangible impact of our work on farmers, with a special emphasis on youth and women. This role requires a blend of storytelling, social behavior change communication, and marketing expertise to effectively share compelling impact narratives. Your primary objective will be to capture authentic farmer stories that illustrate the transformative effects of One Acre Fund's interventions on both individual lives and future generations.


Responsibilities


Professional-Quality, On-Brand, Storytelling Film Production



  • Capture high-caliber, engaging, and emotionally resonant video and audio using DSLR and mobile cameras.

  • Oversee and direct video shoots across all operational countries, collaborating closely with local teams.


Professional-Quality, On-Brand, Storytelling Video Editing



  • Develop storyboards and scripts that align with project briefs following video shoots.

  • Add subtitles to videos in at least seven different languages.

  • Adapt and re-edit existing video content for various applications and purposes.

  • Create bespoke, on-brand motion graphics.


Professional Interviewing & Storytelling



  • Identify and develop compelling stories from the field based on specific briefs.

  • Conduct interviews designed to elicit engaging, unique, and emotional responses that advance narrative arcs.

  • Analyze farmer reports to conceptualize potential story arcs and craft interview questions to support them.


Video Systems Ownership



  • Occasionally manage freelance professionals and host donor-selected video crews during shoots.

  • Maintain and organize One Acre Fund’s video archive and footage storage systems.

  • Develop and manage the One Acre Fund video shot schedule, ensuring stakeholders are informed of upcoming video production activities.

Qualifications


While we consider general qualifications for all roles, this specific position requires:



  • Demonstrated expertise in professional videography and editing.

  • Proven ability in professional reporting and storytelling.

  • Proficiency in operating professional-grade DSLR and audio equipment, coupled with in-depth knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro for editing.
