Requirements
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Sales & Revenue Generation
- Drive sales of water solutions to utilities, councils, irrigation schemes, and industrial users.
- Achieve approved quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Conduct technical and commercial needs assessments with utility engineers and management.
- Prepare competitive quotations, proposals, and tender submissions.
- Support pilot projects, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept deployments.
2. Business Development & Market Expansion
- Identify and develop new market opportunities in NRW reduction, metering, treatment, and network optimisation.
- Secure new utility, institutional, and donor-funded projects.
- Develop long-term framework agreements with key water sector clients.
- Support expansion into regional markets where applicable.
3. Client Engagement & Account Management
- Act as the primary relationship manager for assigned water sector clients.
- Conduct regular site visits, technical reviews, and performance follow-ups.
- Ensure timely resolution of technical and commercial issues.
- Maintain high client satisfaction and repeat business levels.
4. Marketing & Sector Positioning
- Support marketing initiatives, sector presentations, and technical workshops.
- Represent Hallmark at water sector conferences, utility forums, and stakeholder meetings.
- Contribute to solution positioning for NRW, revenue assurance, and water quality improvement.
5. Supplier & Partner Coordination
- Work with international and regional suppliers of meters, chemicals, and water technologies.
- Support supplier negotiations, product approvals, and technical training.
- Coordinate joint demonstrations, pilots, and client engagements.
6. Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure solutions comply with water sector regulations, standards, and utility requirements.
- Support documentation, certification, and quality assurance processes.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and application of water treatment chemicals.
7. Reporting & Performance Management
- Maintain accurate CRM records, pipelines, and forecasts.
- Submit timely sales, activity, and performance reports.
- Track KPIs and implement corrective actions where performance gaps exist.
Qualifications & Experience
Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Water Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Hydrology, or related field.
- Postgraduate training in water management, NRW, utility management, or sales is an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the water sector, technical sales, or utility-facing roles.
- Proven experience working with water utilities, councils, NGOs, or donor-funded projects.
- Exposure to water metering, NRW reduction, treatment chemicals, or network infrastructure preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong technical–commercial acumen.
- Excellent proposal writing and presentation skills.
- Understanding of utility procurement and donor processes.
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- Analytical and solution-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to travel.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.

The Water Solutions Specialist is a commercially driven technical professional responsible for sales, marketing, business development, and client service across Hallmark Limited’s water industry portfolio, including:
- Smart and conventional water meters
- Pipes, fittings, and network components
- Water treatment chemicals
- NRW (Non-Revenue Water) solutions
- Monitoring, analytics, and utility support solutions
The role blends technical expertise with commercial execution, positioning Hallmark as a trusted partner to water utilities, municipalities, regulators, NGOs, and development partners.
