The Opportunity: An Exciting Audit Adventure

Our Assurance team plays a crucial role in fostering confidence and trust within the business landscape. We assist clients in adhering to reporting requirements and provide independent assessments of financial statements, critical business information, and operational processes. As a member of the External Audit team, you will contribute to audit engagements that ensure stakeholders can depend on the accuracy, integrity, and quality of financial reporting.

Whether you're an early-career professional or bringing prior experience in audit, accounting, finance, or assurance, you will gain hands-on exposure to audit engagements. This includes understanding diverse business operations, scrutinizing financial data, verifying transactions, evaluating evidence, meticulously documenting audit work, and identifying key issues for team discussion. You will also engage with clients, utilize technology and data analytics to support audit procedures, and cultivate the professional judgment, discipline, and confidence vital for a thriving career in audit, accounting, finance, and broader professional services.

Your Primary Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of client businesses, their respective industries, operational contexts, and significant financial reporting risks.
• Assist in the planning, execution, and finalization of external audit engagements under the guidance of senior team members.
• Conduct thorough reviews of financial information, test transactions, inspect supporting documentation, and execute audit procedures according to the established audit plan.
• Produce clear, precise, and timely audit working papers that substantiate performed work and derived conclusions.
• Employ audit technology and data analysis tools to aid in testing, identify trends, and flag any unusual patterns or discrepancies.
• Report potential audit concerns, control observations, or unexpected findings to senior team members for review and discussion.
• Stay current with evolving accounting and auditing standards and understand their implications for audit procedures and client engagements.
• Demonstrate unwavering integrity, confidentiality, professional skepticism, and a steadfast commitment to audit quality in all undertaken tasks.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Auditing, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
• Professional certifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or ICAM will be considered a valuable asset.
• Exhibit a clear dedication to pursuing professional qualification and establishing a long-term career in audit, accounting, or finance, underpinned by a solid grasp of financial accounting and audit principles.
