POSITION: ACCOUNTANT

Location: Blantyre, Malawi

OVERVIEW

ETG Agri Inputs Ltd Malawi, a leading supplier of quality agricultural solutions including fertilisers, seeds, crop protection products, farm tools, and expert agronomy services, is seeking a qualified, motivated, and results-driven Accountant to join their team in Blantyre.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain precise financial records and supporting documentation.


• Process and validate invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions.


• Conduct reconciliations for bank accounts, suppliers, and customers.


• Prepare comprehensive financial reports and assist with monthly and annual closing procedures.


• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.


• Support budgeting, cash flow management, and financial analysis initiatives.


• Ensure adherence to the company's financial policies and procedures.


• Organise and maintain all financial records systematically.


• Provide necessary documentation for internal and external audits.


• Collaborate with procurement, logistics, warehouse, and sales teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.


• Undertake any other accounting duties as directed by management.

REQUIREMENTS

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.


• A minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience.


• A strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.


• Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Excel and accounting software.


• Excellent analytical and numerical abilities.


• Demonstrated accuracy, integrity, and keen attention to detail.


• Effective communication and organisational skills.


• Previous experience in the agricultural, trading, manufacturing, or FMCG sectors is considered an asset.
