Liwonde Private Hospital, a distinguished private healthcare provider in Machinga District, Liwonde Township, is actively seeking a skilled Dentist. Our facility is committed to delivering exceptional health services to the community of Malawi.

We are looking for a Dentist to offer comprehensive oral healthcare. This role encompasses diagnosing, treating, and advising on a wide spectrum of dental conditions, from routine cleaning to complex procedures like implant placements. The aim is to enhance and maintain the oral health of our patient base through effective treatment and preventative education.

Success in this role requires a robust foundation in general dentistry and proven proficiency in various dental interventions. Expertise in areas such as prosthodontics, endodontics, and periodontics is highly valued. Exceptional communication and patient engagement abilities are paramount for building trusting relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough patient examinations, reviewing medical histories.
• Prepare patients for procedures, including the administration of sedation or anesthesia.
• Utilize X-rays and diagnostic tests to identify and assess dental issues.
• Perform professional teeth cleaning and plaque removal.
• Address cavities by removing decay and placing fillings.
• Fabricate and fit dental prosthetics, including bridges, crowns, and dentures.
• Administer teeth-whitening treatments.
• Execute tooth extractions and root canal therapies.
• Perform surgical interventions on oral tissues and bone structures.
• Prescribe necessary medications.
• Instruct patients on optimal oral hygiene practices, such as brushing, flossing, and fluoride use.
• Promote dental wellness and preventative care, encouraging regular check-ups.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Dentistry from an accredited and recognized institution is mandatory.
• Current registration with the relevant professional regulatory body is required.
• A minimum of two years of demonstrable professional experience in a similar capacity is essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on Excel and Word.
• Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills are expected.
