ESCOM Ltd is seeking a dedicated ICT Technician (Networks) to join their team. The primary purpose of this role is to build and maintain the daily operations of computer networks supporting corporate services, including intranet, extranet, LAN, WLAN, and WAN environments, at the Regional Office (North).
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the development, operation, and maintenance of voice, video, and data communication systems.
- Participate in the setup, configuration, and testing of core network devices.
- Manage enterprise systems such such as Linux, Windows, databases, and voice gateways.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues efficiently.
- Schedule system upgrades and collaborate on network optimization initiatives.
- Investigate faults within local and wide area networks.
- Secure network systems by enforcing established policies.
- Monitor network access and ensure compliance with ICT policies.
- Provide support for network operations and maintain system stability.
- Upgrade network equipment firmware as required.
- Offer remote support to on-site engineers and customers.
- Monitor devices, servers, and services utilizing management tools.
- Regularly collaborate with project managers and service desk teams.
- Engage with internal clients to define system requirements and solutions.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- A Diploma in Information Communication Technology, Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Relevant work experience is considered an added advantage.
